Last Groom Standing — out now!
Tuesday, October 1st, 2013

I’m finishing up The Wedding Season (starring Aimee Carson, Amy Andrews, and Heidi Rice) this month with Marnie and Dylan’s story.

Last Groom Standing

Marnie Price’s guide to surviving the bridesmaid blues…

  1. Get a new man
  2. Find a new job
  3. When in doubt, drink wine!

Having watched her three closest friends all find love, Southern belle Marnie Price feels as if she’s the only single girl left. Luckily she’s found a solution—one sizzling night with Dylan Brookes. This man wears a wedding tux better than anyone, but all Marnie wants to do is get beneath it!

Dylan is all about making the sensible choice, and a fling with his ex’s friend Marnie is about as far from sensible as he can get! Marnie might prove to him that taking risks is worth it, but that doesn’t mean he’s ready to give up his bachelor status quite yet—does it…?

Right now, you can get Last Groom Standing for only $1.99 in ebook!

It’s been a real honor to be part of this project as Aimee, Amy, and Heidi are as amazing as their books! Plus, The Wedding Season was just plain fun to create and write!

It’ll be a reunion to remember – and the wedding of the year! But what these feisty women hadn’t planned on are the sizzling, scandalous and very surprising consequences…

So many books! So many chances to win!
Friday, August 23rd, 2013

These dog days of summer (which aren’t really that bad in Alabama this year. I’m not melting for once.) seem to bring out the book giveaways.  It makes sense; what better way to spend a hot, humid afternoon than reading a good book in the shade?  As always, me and my girlz are here to help you out!

Have you seen the new Kiss & Tempt page on Facebook? You’ll find all the info about the fabulous books from the Harlequin KISS/Modern TEMPTED authors, of course, but it’s also just a fun place where we’re posting our news, random thoughts, pictures of hot man candy, recommendations… you name it.  Not really a blog, but more than just a FaceBook promo page. Come “Like” us and join the fun!  Right now, we’re running a fantastic contest:  help us choose our banner picture and enter to win some amazing prizes: (Click on the banner below to go to the entry page).

September sees the US release of Heidi Rice’s Maid of Dishonor, a hot and sweet story starring Gina and Carter.  In October, my Last Groom Standing will be out in both the US and the UK.  But UK residents can get in on this action early, as all four Modern TEMPTED releases are up on Goodreads as giveaways (and with 50 copies up for grabs, your chances to win are quite good)!  Click here to enter the Last Groom Standing contest. Click here for the other giveaways of Louisa George’s Backstage with Her Ex and Natalie Anderson’s Whose Bed is it Anyway? (Heidi’s contest still to come!) Don’t worry, we’ll be doing a US giveaway soon!

In other news, book #14 has been accepted and titled No Time Like Mardi Gras. It will be a Feb 2014 release — keep checking back for more details on Colin and Jamie’s story as I get the page updated.  And since Aimee Carson is writing the companion book as we speak, you’ll have two trips to New Orleans scheduled for 2014!

When did summer get here?
Thursday, June 27th, 2013

Apologies to all for the lack of recent updates.  A trip to the RT Convention was immediately followed by surgery on my shoulder (and let me tell you, the recuperation for that has been much worse than I expected.  It must be partly to do with my age.  The body just doesn’t bounce back like it used to… sigh).  About  the time I got some movement back, my deadline was approaching quickly and I had to go head-down into the WIP.

I’m just now coming up for air.

Thanks to everyone for your support of When Honey Got Married… The reviews have been fantastic, and we’re all so glad you’ve enjoyed meeting the gang from Bellefleur.  You might want to pop over and “Like” Honey’s page on Facebook — something’s brewing (but I’m sworn to secrecy for now), but it’ll be announced on Honey’s page soon!

And while we’re on the subject of weddings… “The Wedding Season” starts now! This is the very first KISS continuity and features books by Aimee Carson, Amy Andrews, Heidi Rice and myself and we kick it all off in June with a free prequel novella available for download. “The Wedding Season” has it’s own Facebook page, too, and there will be fun stuff going on all summer.

My contribution to the continuity is Last Groom Standing, out in October.  And check out this cover!Last Groom Standing

And yes, my shoulder is much better now. Thanks for asking. 🙂

Here comes the bride!

Just a few short weeks until everyone can find out exactly what happened When Honey Got Married…

Header-WhenHoneyGotMarried-yellowflowers

You are cordially invited to the Louisiana wedding of the decade. On a beautiful spring evening, on the grounds of the Belles Fleurs Plantation, Honey Moreau will marry eminently eligible Brent Delacroix.

Love will be in the air…can anyone resist?

I’m so excited about this anthology — and I got to write it with the amazing Anna Cleary, Kelly Hunter and Ally Blake, fabulous women and amazing writers.  They’re also a ridiculous amount of fun, so writing Grace and Beau’s story (and giving my opinions on Honey’s, Eve’s, Pippa’s and Nina’s) was just a blast from beginning to end.

You can visit our website www.WhenHoneyGotMarried.com and like us on Facebook to keep up with the latest news on Honey, including contests, our blog tour, and fun facts about Honey and her friends (and of course, complete buy information as soon as it’s available).

The Really Cool Thing
Thursday, January 10th, 2013

I’ve been sitting on this news FOREVER and now it’s finally time to share!

The Downfall of a Good Girl and The Taming of a Wild Child aren’t just two of my favorite books that just happen to be launch titles for the new Harlequin KISS line.

Downfall and Taming have their own soundtrack.  Which is just really, really cool.

Lynn (L) and Lang (R)

Once I knew Downfall’s hero, Connor, was a singer/songwriter, I knew he’d need songs to sing — that’s how he’d be comfortable expressing himself. So I went to work with a local singer/songwriter (and former Kindergarten co-Room Mother for our kids) Cristina Lynn to put a song on Connor’s lips.  Cristina not only let me use four of her original songs in the books, she wrote a new song inspired by Vivi and Connor, too!

All five songs — now a collection called “Sinners and Saints” — will be available for purchase/download later this month!

(For more info on our collaboration, click here.)

Album coverWe’re taking our show on the road, too, with what we call a “Sing and Sign,*” to talk about the books, the music, and the process.  (And what it’s like to be a working artist and Mom at the same time. We’re not your average soccer moms, that’s for sure!)  Want us to come to your library, bookstore, coffee shop, etc? Just drop me a line at kimberly @ booksbykimberly.com and we’ll see what we can set up.I can’t tell you how much fun I’ve had working with Cristina on this project.  It helped that we were friends already and working with a friend is fun, but working with a storyteller in a different medium has been enlightening and inspiring!

Pretty cool, huh?

*Just to be clear: Cristina does all the singing. I don’t. You really don’t want me to. Maybe one day she’ll let me play the tambourine or something…

Almost time!

Watch this space on January 10th for announcement of The Really Cool Thing I’ve been dying to tell you about this book.

And, on January 24th, I’ll post the details of the new contest and descriptions of the prizes.

I just love when I have new books out…

PS: And don’t forget that The Taming of a Wild Child is out in March!  No waiting for Lorelei’s story!

How about a KISS? (Now with cover goodness! And now excerpts!)
Thursday, October 25th, 2012

Have I mentioned that I’m one of the launch authors for the brand-new Harlequin KISS line? Well, I am!  KISS is tailor-made for me and my books: flirty, modern alpha heroes, strong, sassy heroines, and fun, sizzling stories.

In February, I’ll be helping to launch the line with The Downfall of a Good Girl, followed immediately in March with The Taming of a Wild Child. These books feature the LaBlanc sisters, Vivi and Lorelei, and are set in one of my favorite places on earth: New Orleans.

Stay tuned for cover reveals, contests, excerpts and details about The Really Cool (Secret) Project — all coming soon!  Edited 10/30/12:  And here’s the cover! Isn’t it pretty?!

Edited 11/6/12:  Covers and excerpts on the book pages!  Downfall     Taming

The Downfall of a Good Girl

I’m going to be busy the next couple of weeks finishing up my fall 2013 KISS release.  Marnie’s story will be the 4th book in a continuity with Aimee Carson, Amy Andrews and Heidi Rice.  It’s been so much fun working with them on this project, and the books are going to be awesome!

I’ll leave you with a picture of Cupid risking her life to abscond with one of my beloved (and warm) frog feet slippers.
Frog was rescued successfully, so Cupid still lives.  She was not  the least bit ashamed of her assassination attempt.
